Spice Smart Pulse Smartwatch – Android Wearable with Voice Calling Announced

The web is still buzzing after the release of the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live, both device run on the Android Wear OS for wearbles and smartwatches and were both officially announced at the Google I/O developers conference last month. Indian OEM has also followed suit by launching its first smartwatch – the Spice Smart Pulse M 9010 which is running on a customised Java-based OS.

The Spice Smart Pulse M 9010 smartwatch features a 1.5-inch a (240 x 320 pixels) resolution display and can also be used standalone as a phone for making calls due to its dual-SIM voice calling feature whilst also being coupled with most Android smartphones.

The Spice Smart Pulse M 9010 Smartwatch measures 41.7×53.7×13.6 mm and is powered by a 420mAh Li-ion battery which provides 2 days of standby time and 180 minutes of talk-time. Coupled with the 1.5-inch display, the device also features a VGA camera, FM Radio, Audio/Video player, Dual-SIM (GSM + GSM), GPRS/EDGE, 2G, Bluetooth, memory expandable up to 8GB via micro SD card.

Users can make calls, send text, surf the internet from the device’s small display and the straps are interchangeable plus available in different colour variants. The Smart plus coupled with Android phones (Android 4.3 and Above) through bluetooth, helps you receive & make calls, access messages, media, access notifications and remotely control the camera.

The Spice Smart Pulse M 9010 Smartwatch is available as from July 11th on e-commerce store HomeShop18 at a price tag of Rs. 3999 (N11,000 in Naira) and the real price tag is set at Rs. 4999 (N14,000 in Naira). The Smart plus also comes bundled with a free bluetooth headset and two interchangeable wristbands in the box.
