HTC has officially launched the HTC Desire 728 smartphone; the device was spotted back in July on TENAA with most of its specs confirmed and will sell for a price tag of $269 in China. Available colour options includes White and Ash; an international version could also possibly be on the way.
The HTC Desire 728 has the same design as almost all the Desire range smartphone and the body as expected is a polycarbonate one. It sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) and a pixel density of 267ppi.
Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit Octa-core Mediatek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali-T720 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB space of internal storage. For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot onboard that supports up to 2TB cards.
The main snapper is a 13MP camera and the front facing snapper is a 5MP camera for selfies. The Dual SIM enabled HTC Desire 728 supports 4G LTE connectivity (LTE Cat.4 – up to 150Mbps download speed), runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a 2800mAh battery. The battery charges faster with a 5V/1.5A charger which has to be purchased separately.
