Lenovo has quietly debuted the Lenovo A7000 Plus in the Philippines; the phablet sized device is already listed on e-commerce website – Lazada for PHP 7999 ($171) and would sell exclusively from the platform starting September 15th.
The Lenovo A7000 Plus succeeds the A7000 announced earlier this year and comes with some improvements. It sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) FHD display, an improvement on the 5.5-inch HD display resolution on the predecessor.
Under the hood lies an octa-core Mediatek MT6752 processor clocked at 1.7GHz paired with 2GB of RAM, 16GB native storage space and for additional storage there is a microSD card slot. Handling photography is a 13MP main camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies.
Measuring 152.6 x 76.2 x 7.99 mm in dimensions and weighing 140 grams, the Lenovo A7000 Plus supports Dual SIM functionality, Dolby ATMOS support and runs Android Lollipop OS. The device is backed by a 3000mAh battery which has the juice to last up to two days of mixed usage.
The device supports 4G LTE connectivity (LTE Cat.4 – supports up to 150Mbps); other connectivity options on the A7000 Plus includes – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS with A-GPS and Bluetooth. Sensor options includes – eCompass, Light Sensor, Gyroscope, Proximity sensor and Gravity sensor.
For comparison sake, the Lenovo A7000 has an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, a HD display resolution, 8MP main camera, 2900mAh battery and 8GB internal storage space. The rest of the specs are pretty much the same.
PS: The Lenovo A7000 Plus is obviously or very similar to the Lenovo K3 Note available in China and also in India if you observe very closely.
