Following in the footsteps of Samsung with the Galaxy S5 LTE-A for Korean markets, LG has released a LTE-A variant of its flagship G3 smartphone. The LTE-A variant of the LG G3 has been announced as the LG G3 Cat.6 with, but its is been tipped to be the LG G3 Prime.

The specifications of the LG G3 Cat.6 has not been announced but it is tipped to feature similar specs to the LG G3 with the former sporting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor with support for LTE Cat.6 and the latter sticking with Snapdragon 801 chipset with support for LTE Cat.4.

The flagship LG G3 features a 5.5-inch QHD (1,440×2,560 pixel) AH-IPS LCD display, a 2GB RAM for the 16GB inbuilt storage variant and 3GB RAM for its 32GB inbuilt storage variant. Both storage variant can be expandable up to 128GB via micro SD card support.

Other specs of the LG G3 includes a 13MP rear camera with OIS+, dual-LED flash & a laser auto-focusing sensor, 2.1MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture and a selfie mode. There are standard connectivity options on the G3 as well as a 3000mAh battery support the smartphone with support for wireless charging.

The LG G3 Cat.6 is listed on LG’s official shopping portal for South Korea, LG Bestmall and availablle only for pre-order. The LG G3 Cat.6 is also not expected to debut outside the Korean market and no pricing details has been announced of yet. But there is a notify me option for interested users.
