Although things are a bit early at this stage, fresh details on Project Valley suggests the device is already in undergoing rigorous testing. The device is being tested in two configurations with different processors – one with the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and the other with the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 processor.

Whatever the choice of processor the device ends up with, it will have 3GB of RAM, storage will be expandable via a microSD card slot, the battery will be built-in (non-removable) and a possible January 2016 launch date is being projected.

In a related news, Samsung is rigorously testing the Snapdragon 820 to avoid issues of all sorts of issues. The chipset is expected to be used in the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 and another version of the aforementioned smartphone will use the Exynos 8890 processor.

At the moment, there is no official confirmation from Samsung but the company is not one to shy away from innovation especially when it comes to displays. Famous for its AMOLED display, the South Korean company has in recent times launched smartphones with Singular and Dual Edges such as the Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+
