Huawei has a media event scheduled for October 10th in Beijing, China; the company is expected to announce the Huawei Honor Play 5X or (Huawei Honor 5X) at the event and there are slim possibilities the company could announce the Huawei P9.
Starting with the more likely of the duo, the Huawei Honor Play 5X (or Huawei Honor 5X) was certified on TENAA recently. It sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display and a pixel density of around 294ppi. Under the hood, it is powered by a quad-core Mediatek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with Mali T720 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB native storage space.
Photography is handled by a 5MP front facing camera for selfie and a rear facing 13MP with LED flash. The Honor Play 5X measures 9.7mm thick (full dimensions – 143.1 x 71.8 x 9.7mm), weighs 159 grams, a microSD card slot for storage expansion and support 4G LTE connectivity.
The Huawei Honor Play 5X has dual SIM slots, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by an Ample 4000mAh battery.
Talking about the Huawei P9, it is powered by a in-house Hi-Silicon Kirin 950 octa-core processor and would have a rear facing dual-camera with Dual sensor and LED flash. The P9 would also have a fingerprint sensor and come in two variants – a ‘LTE’ model and a ‘Delux’ model.
