This is our first encounter with LePhone and the Chinese OEM has an upcoming entry-level device – the LePhone F1 which is expected to make its debut in China. The device has been certified on TENAA, China’s equivalent of the FCC, some weeks ago.
Design-wise, the LePhone F1 has an attractive looking plastic-material body and it sports a 5-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD). When the hood is popped, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz with 1GB of RAM and 8GB space of internal storage.
For additional storage, there is a microSD card slot which supports up to 32GB cards; for selfies and video chats, there is a front facing 2MP camera and a main 8MP rear facing camera with LED flash.
This model of the LePhone F1 spotted on the agency listing has the moniker – China Mobile 4G etched into the back leading to thinking we are dealing with an exclusive device for China. Connectivity options on the device includes – Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB 2.0 and 4G LTE.
Measuring 143.1 x 70.4 x 8.35mm and weighing 170grams, the LePhone F1 is not just thick, it is also heavy. There are reports the device could even have a big battery capacity ( i.e > 3000mAh) but will run Android-Based YunOS out-of-the box.
