BLU Studio 7.0 LTE goes official with quad-core SoC and 3700mAh battery for $199

BLU has just announced the BLU Studio 7.0 LTE, the LTE version of the 7-inch sized Studio 7.0 released towards the end of last year. The choice of processor is now a Qualcomm one and the device comes not only with LTE support, it is also slimmer and now runs Android Lollipop OS.

Normally the Dual SIM enabled BLU Studio 7.0 LTE qualifies as a tablet but the Miami-based company is hell bent on calling it a phablet and so it is. As the name suggests, it supports 4G LTE bands (2/3/4/7/12/17/28) in the US and is compatible with both AT&T and T-Mobile networks as well as Cricket, Metro PCS, Simple Mobile, Straight talk and more.

Moving to the other specs details, it sports a 7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS OGS display, powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with Adreno 306 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 16GB native storage space and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.

Along with 4G LTE, the BLU Studio 7.0 LTE also has GPS, micro USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity options. In the camera segment, there is a 8MP rear camera with LED flash which is capable of 1080p (FHD) video recording and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies.

Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, it measures 190 x 99.8 x 8.5mm in dimensions, weighs 266 grams and is backed by a 3700mAh battery. The BLU Studio 7.0 LTE is priced at $199 and can be purchased in the US from Amazon in Blue, Gold, Grey and White colour options.
