Nokia has officially announced two budget Windows OS smartphones and successor to the Lumia 525 and Lumia 520, with the Nokia Lumia 530 and the Nokia Lumia 530 Dual SIM. Both device has been slapped with a price tag of €85 (between N19,000 and N20,000 in Naira) for both devices before subsidies and tax.

Both the Lumia 530 and its dual-SIM counterpart sport the same specifications except that the latter supports Dual-SIM functionality.

The Nokia Lumia 530 (Lumia 530 Dual-SIM) features a 4.0-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) LCD display, 246ppi (pixel density), powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via micro SD card) and like any Lumia device comes pre-loaded with 15GB of free OneDrive cloud storage.

The smartphones sports 5MP fixed focus rear camera and no front camera. Also comes pre-loaded with different camera add-ons such as Nokia Camera, Nokia Glam Me and Bing Vision. Connectivity options on the device includes 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB and Micro SIMs.

The Nokia Lumia 530 measures 119.7×62.3×11.7mm, weighs 128 grams and runs on a 1430mAh battery which provides up to 528hours of standby time & 10hours of talk time. The devices as expected runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Cyan update and support FOTA (firmware over-the-air) updates.

Both the Nokia Lumia 530 and Lumia 530 Dual SIM would be available in select markets by August; and it would also be available in White, Dark Grey, Bright Green and Bright Orange colour variants. Both smartphones would also sport changeable shells.

Alongside the Lumia 530 smartphone variants, Microsoft also announced a Band Mini Speaker by Coloud which costs €19 (around N4200 in Naira), and its availability has been fixed for coming weeks.

Different details of the Nokia Lumia 530 had earlier surfaced online, and more surfaced thanks to Vietnamese Web Shop Mainguyen. The web shop has in the past announced devices before they were official and the specs ended up being accurate. The Nokia Lumia 530 has not been announced officially, but it has been listed online on Mainguyen.

Going by the specs of the Lumia 530, it is a slight upgrade to the Nokia Lumia 520.
