Some days ago, Gionee announced the Gionee S6 (or the Gionee Elife S6) in China – a midrange smartphone with most of the highlight on the body build and thinness, less emphasis may be placed on the specs but the device guarantees solid performance.
The Gionee S6 measures 4mm at its thinnest part and 6.9mm at the thickest part; it has a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display, powered by an Octa-core Mediatek processor with 3GB of RAM and runs Android Lollipop OS with Amigo UI 3.1 ontop. It has a front facing 5MP camera for selfies, a microSD card slot for storage expansion and is backed by a 3150mAh battery.

The Gionee S6 is only available in China for now but is expected to be available in other markets soon. Those in the US should expect the S6 in form of a BLU product, as the former has served as an OEM to the Miami based outfit for a while now.
