Vivo Y51A debuts with 2GB RAM and Android Lollipop

China Telecom has announced the Vivo Y51A – a variant of the Vivo Y51 which is compatible with the carrier’s FDD-LTE, TD-LTE, W- CDMA,  TD-SCDMA, CDMA2000 and GSM networks. It is priced at CNY 1298 (US$ 203) and available in Deep Blue and White colours to choose from.

There are not much visible changes between the Vivo Y51 and the Vivo Y51A except in the networks aspect. The device sports a 5-inch IPS LCD display with (960 x 540 pixels) qHD resolution and a pixel density of 200ppi. It measures 143.8 x 71.7 x 7.52mm in dimensions and weighs 157 grams in size.

Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space. For additional storage, the Y51A has a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB.

For photography, there is a rear facing 8MP camera with LED flash and a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and video chats; with HDR, autofocus, child mode, night mode and panorama shooting.

Connectivity options onboard includes – Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB v2.0 port, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Infrared and 4G LTE (LTE Cat.4). The Vivo Y51A sports optional Dual SIM slots, backed by a 2350mAh battery and boots Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS with the company’s FunTouch OS 2.5 ontop.
