Fly has announced the Fly Era, an affordable Windows Phone for the Russian market for a price tag of RUB 3,990 ($111 /€83 /N18,000). The Fly Era comes after the Prestigio MultiPhone 8500 DUO and MultiPhone 8400 DUO has been announced for August in the same market.
Its no longer news that Microsoft no longer requires a license fee for devices under 9-inches category, as a result we have been seeing an influx of smartphones, phbalets and tablets running on Windows Phone OS and Windows OS. Not only are these device running on the OS, most of the devices now come very affordable.
Fly Era
With its price tag, the Fly Era is expected to be one of the most affordable Windows phone smartphone available yet. The device features a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm snapdragon 200 processor with Adreno 320 GPU, 512MB of RAM, 4GB internal storage and microSD card slots for storage expansion.
There is a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a front facing 0.3MP front facing camera. The Fly Era measures 125.5 x 65 x 10.7 mm and runs on Windows Phone 8.1. There is also a 1500mAh battery keeping the device running.
