Introducing HP’s Upcoming Luxury Smartwatch

We all should have accepted the different wearables be it the smartwatches or fitness monitoring bands as part of our personal items to carry around. To be honest, Smartwatches and bands used to be a device for those with the technical-know-how (geeks) but of recent they are now becoming very attractive for users.

HP is also venturing into the smartwatch or call it the wearable market with a premium luxury smartwatch that would be compatible with Android and iOS devices. At the moment there is very little information about the device except some design drafts and a few specs picked up from information available.

The smartwatch is said to take a cue from the Dashboards and Trim of luxury automobiles; whilst also featuring basic smartwatch features – email, text, phone call, notifications, media control as well as controlling different apps on the wearable.

First of all, US Designer Michael Bastian is in charge of the designing the device. The device is set to feature a 44mm stainless steel case with swappable band. The bands would be available in different colour variants – a limited edition Black, Black rubber, brown leather and olive green nylon.

Moving on to the software, Android Wear should not be expected on this device due to its iOS as well as Android compatibility. We expect a proprietary OS from HP on the device. The device is said to come with its own apps, allowing users to be able customise its modes and features as well tweaking the interface.

The device is set to arrive this fall in conjunction with Glit.com, there is no word on the pricing, display, memory and other technical specifications for now. We will keep our ears to the ground and for those who are planning to get this smartwatch, you need to save big.
