Samsung Galaxy Alpha Leaks – Exynos 5433 Processor, 2GB RAM, 12MP camera, August 13th

Samsung is set to release its first smartphone with a alluminium metallic design with most of its flagship coming in plastic. According to a recent report, Samsung is set to release the Samsung Galaxy Alpha (SM-G850F)in two weeks time (August 13) instead of the earlier rumoured September launch date ahead of the IFA 2014 in Berlin.

According to Benchmark listings, the Samsung Galaxy Alpha SM-G850F is expected to feature a Exynos 5433 octa-core processor, Mali-T628 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage with no sight of any microSD card slot. The Exynos 5433 octa-core processor is the same chipset rumoured for the upcoming Galaxy Note 4.

The device is expected to have a 4.8-inch 720p HD display with a pixel density of 320ppi. Other features include a 12MP rear facing camera with LED flash, a 2.1MP fron camera, fingerprint sensor, heart rate monitor, and a Nano Sim Card slot. The device would run on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with Samsung’s signature TouchWiz on top.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is a mixture of high-end and mid-range specifications judging by the device. We look ahead to the official announcement as these are only the bench mark listing for now.
