At its CES 2016 press conference, Huawei announced a premium looking tablet in the MediaPad series – the Huawei MediaPad M2 10. The 10-incher comes with an active stylus pen called M-Pen and will arrive in both LTE and Wi-Fi models; and Gold and Silver colour options.
Packed in an “aluminum alloy, full-metal body, precision crafted curved edges and a rich, sandblasted finish,” the Huawei MediaPad M2 10 sports a 10.1-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) Full HD IPS LCD display and packs the octa-core Kirin 930 processor clocked at 2.0GHz.
The 7.35mm thick MediaPad M2 10 has a front facing 5MP camera and a rear facing 13MP camera. The slate boasts of four speakers with “an Intelligent Power Amplifier, Clari-fi Audio Restoration and SWS 2.0 Surround Sound, tuned by leading audio brand Harman/Kardon for stunning, rich sound.”
The Huawei MediaPad M2 10 is available 2GB RAM & 16GB built-in storage space and 3GB RAM & 64GB built-in storage variants. Both storage variants are expandable via a microSD card slot up to 128GB and the tablet which probably runs Android Lollipop OS relies on a 6660mAh battery.
In terms of pricing, the Wi-Fi model of the 2GB RAM + 16GB Storage variant costs $349 while the LTE Model costs $399. The Wi-Fi model of the 3GB RAM + 64GB with the M-Pen stylus costs $419 and the LTE of the same model with M-Pen costs $469.
