KDDI announce Kyocera -made Qua Phone and Huawei-Made Qua tab 02 tablet

Japanese carrier, KDDI has announced two new devices under the Qua brand – the Qua Phone KYV37 and the Qua tab 02 HWT31. Both devices are manufactured by Kyocera and Huawei respectively. ‎

Qua Phone KYV37

The Kyocera-made Qua Phone KYV37 is the first smartphone under the Qua Brand; it is IPX5/8 certified for being dustproof, waterproof as well as conforming to MIL standard Shock resistance. It has an Aluminium alloy body and sports a 5-inch TFT LCD display with screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) and DragonTrail X Glass protection. 

It relies on a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage and a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB. It measures 146 x 72 x 7.9 – 8.4 mm in dimension, weighs 132 grams in size and is backed by a non-removable 2200mAh battery. ‎

The Qua Phone KYV37 supports Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, LTE/WiMAX 2+ and VoLTE connectivity. For photography, there is a front facing 2MP camera and a rear facing 13MP camera. It will arrive by the First Third of February 2016 in Black, Ice Blue and Silver colours.‎

Qua tab 02 HWT31

KDDI also announced the Huawei-made Qua tab 02 HWT31 – the successor to the Kyocera-made Qua Tab 01. The tablet which will arrive by the middle of February 2016, sports a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels (WUXGA), measures 259 x 156 x 8.6 mm‎ and the size is 486 grams.

The slate relies on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage space and a microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB. For photography there is a rear facing 8MP camera and a front facing 2MP camera.

Connectivity options on the Qua Tab 02 HWT31 includes – Dual Band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, LTE, WiMAX 2+, CDMA200 and WCDMA but does not support GSM and overseas roaming. It enjoys two stereo speakers on the side with Super Wide Sound and backed by a non-removable 6500mAh battery.

The price is not detailed now but it will arrive in Airy Blue, Charcoal Black and Powder White colours.‎
