Doov has announced a new smartphone – the Doov L5 Plus smartphone in China. The device has the same design and shares some of its specs with the Nubia Prague S by ZTE announced today. It is available in Rose and White with Gold colour options for a price tag of CNY 1999 (US$ 308).
Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the Doov L5 Plus uses an aluminium metal body frame and sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD), 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection and a pixel density of 401ppi. It measures 153 x 76 x 6.0 mm in dimensions and is backed by a sizeable 2900mAh battery.
The device is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Mediatek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 3GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space. In the camera segment, there is a front facing 8MP camera with 87-degree wide angle lens for selfies and a rear facing Samsung-made 13MP ISOCELL camera with Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) and 5-element lens.
It is equipped with the Hybrid Dual SIM slots which will see the device either make use of two SIM slots or a single SIM slot and a microSD card slot. The Doov L5 Plus supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks in both SIMs and also has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 options.
