Huawei has announced two new smartphones in India – the Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus and the Huawei Honor 5X. Both models are sold via Amazon India and Flipkart; the Honor 5X costs Rs. 12999 (US$ 191) and arrives in Silver and Sunset Gold colours while the Honor Holly 2 Plus costs Rs. 8499 (US$ 125) and arrives in Grey, Gold and White colour options.
The Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus is the successor to the Honor Holly launched last year October and is the Indian-version of the Huawei Enjoy 5 which is available in China. It sports a 5-inch HD display, supports 4G LTE networks and is backed by a 4000mAh battery with quick and charging support.
The Plastic body Honor Holly 2 Plus relies on a quad-core Mediatek MT6735 processor, 2GB of RAM, 5-inch 720p HD IPS display, 16GB built-in expandable storage, rear facing 13MP camera with LED, front facing 5MP camera and runs Emotion UI 3.1 based on Android Lollipop OS.
The Huawei Honor 5X also is not entirely a new smartphone, it was announced around October and went on sale in the US this January at the CES 2016. It packs a fingerprint sensor, 4G. LTE support, 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD display, 13MP/5MP rear and front facing camera and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
