5.5-inch IUNI U3 Set To Launch on 26th August

IUNI is a major household name in China, a Gionee Spin-off and the smartphone manufacturing company has been buzzing since last year. The company has teased an IUNI U3 launch event and date for its next upcoming flagship smartphone with series of videos on Weibo. The devive will go official on August 26th.

There are no specific specifications yet but outlets have reported the IUNI U3 will offer flagship specifications with 5.5-inch 1440p display size, Dual 4G standby, and MediaTek chipset with very apt performance. The specs are adjudged to be ready to compete with the Xiaomi Mi 4 and the price range is expected to be in the same rane with the device.

To complement the teased specs, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC could feature, alongside 3GB of RAM, around 13MP/16MP rear camera, and we should expect the device to run on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS with IUNI OS on top.

With Chinese OEM like Xiaomi, Gionee doing very well in the Indian market, it is said that IUNI is ready to follow in their footsteps and launch its own devices outside China. But before the company can achive that, it has to find a way of amending its Bloat-free IUNI OS which only supports Chinese Language.

The IUNI U2 touted to be the ‘HTC Killer’ featured a 4.7-inch 1080p display with pixel density of 496ppi, 2GB/3GB of RAM, 16MP main camera, Ultrapixel Camera (4-megapixel), 16GB/32GB internal storage variant and under the hood is a 2.2GHz quad core Qualcomm snapdragon 800.
