Samsung Mobile Taiwan has officially announced the Samsung Galaxy J3 smartphone in the Taiwanese market. The 5-inch device which was announced in China late last year by China Telecom is available for a price tag of TWD 5490 (USD 166) but the model number is different.
Powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, the Samsung Galaxy J3 SM-J320YZ features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED display along with 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB built-in storage space and a microSD slot for expansion up to 128GB.
In the camera aspect, the J3 has a front facing 5-megapixel camera for selfies and a rear facing 8-megapixel AutoFocus camera with LED flash. Connectivity options onboard includes – 4G LTE Cat.4 (up to 150Mbps download speed), Bluetooth 4.1, NFC Type A/B, GPS/A-GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
The Samsung Galaxy J3 has a full metal body build, Dual Micro SIM slots, microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 128GB), measures 142.3 x 71 x 7.9 mm in dimensions and weighs in at 138 grams. It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and is backed by a removable 2600mAh battery.
