Samsung has commenced the sales of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 in Nigeria. Both flagship smartphones are available starting March 18th, 2016 from authorised Samsung retail stores nationwide in Black Onyx, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium colour options.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 sports a 5.1-inch screen and is backed by a 3000mAh battery while the Galaxy S7 Edge has a 5.5-inch Dual Edge screen and a 3600mAh battery. Both have a Super AMOLED display, 2560 x 1440 pixels (QHD) screen resolution, always-on display feature and microSD card slot.
Both devices use the company’s adaptive fast-charging and wireless charging, have sealed ports, 4GB of RAM and are IP68 certified for dust and water resistance. In the camera segment, there is a front facing 5MP camera with f/1.7 aperture and rear facing Dual Pixels 12MP camera with f/1.7 aperture and Optical image stabilisation (OIS).
The Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge in Nigeria is NGN 235,000 while that of the Samsung Galaxy S7 is NGN 197,000. Samsung is offering a free back cover to all pre-registered customers who make purchases at authorised Samsung retail stores while the first 50 to buy gets a free gets a virtual reality device – the Samsung Gear VR.
