Chinese based company, iNew has listed up a new device on its official website. The 5-inch iNew U5W is basically an entry-level device and the specifications attest to that. There is no word on pricing and availability yet but it is expected to be exclusive to its home country.
Running Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, the iNew U5W is packed in a mix of magnesium-alloy metal body frame and polycarbonate plastic, sports a 5-inch IPS display with screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA), a pixel density of 196ppi and is backed by a sizeable 3000mAh battery.
The 9.2mm thick U5W relies on a quad-core Mediatek MT6580 processor clocked at 1.3GHz with ARM Mali-400 MP2 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB built-in storage space. It supports 2G and 3G networks, weighs 143 grams, use Dual SIM slots and last up to 300 hours of standby time.
In the camera aspect, the iNew U5W sports a front facing 2-megapixel camera for video chat and selfies; and a rear facing 5-megapixels camera with 5-element lens and LED flash. Connectivity options on the device includes – Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS/A-GPS. The device also supports Gesture controls.
