Announced last year at the Computex 2015 event, the BungBungame Kalos 2 is finally making its way into the market – the Japanese one precisely. Although the name maybe weird, the slate packs high-end specs and joins the growing lists of Android Marshmallow tablets.

Packed in a compact 6.4 mm thin body weighing 430 grams; the BungBungame Kalos 2 sports a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 2560 x 1600 pixels (WQXGA) screen resolution and relies on a 5000mAh battery which is expected to last 9 hours of battery life. ‎

On the inside, the tablet is powered by the same processor on the Samsung Galaxy S6 (and S6 Edge) – Octa-core Exynos 7420 processor clocked at 2.1GHz paired along with ARM Mali-T760 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 64GB built-in storage and a microSd card slot for storage expansion (up to 200GB).‎

For photography, there is a front facing 5-megapixel camera and a rear placed 8-megapixel camera. Connectivity options includes – Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/GLONASS, NFC, USB Type C port and WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO 2×2. The IR Sensor is also included onboard.

The BungBungame Kalos 2 goes on sale starting April 14th for a price tag equivalent to US$499 (JPY 54,800) in Japan. The ‎slate is also expected to be available in the Asia, Europe and the US in following weeks. ‎
