Meizu M688Q with YunOS could be the Meizu M3 for China

In a bit to keep the momentum of the company’s rising market share rolling, Meizu is preparing to launch a new smartphone couple of weeks after launching the Meizu Pro 6 and M3 Note. Expected to arrive as the budget level Meizu M3 smartphone, the Meizu M688Q has been certified by TENAA in China.

The Meizu M688Q (or Meizu M3) keeps the polycarbonate plastic body build and boots YunOS 3.1.6 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS for the Chinese version while the general version should be based on FlymeOS 5.1. It measures 141.5 x 69.5 x 8.3 mm in dimensions and weighs in at 130.69 grams.

On the inside, the device is powered by an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 2GB of RAM and either 16GB or 32GB built-in expandable storage sp‎ace (up to 128GB). It packs a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, Hybrid Dual SIM slots with 4G LTE connectivity and backed by a 2800mAh battery.

For photography, there is a front facing 5-megapixel camera for selfies and a rear facing 13-megapixel camera with LED flash. The Meizu M3 (M688Q) will arrive in Deep Blue, Gold, Gray, Pink, White colour options and supports Dual Band ‎Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth and GPS/GLONASS.‎
