NTel Data Bundles, Pricing and Other Things You Need To Know

Ntel has succefully rolled out the long awaited 4G LTE advanced network for commercial use, to officially become the 5th mobile network operator in Nigeria. At the moment the services can only be accessed in Lagos and Abuja. Port Harcourt and other geo-political zones will get theirs in coming months (by Q2 2016).

Built on the 900/1800 MHz spectrum, the 4G LTE advanced technology delivers unbeatable and game changing customer experience of high-speed internet access up to 230Mbps. Ntel is offering the first 100,000 customers (Pioneers) who activate their SIMs this month free on-net calls for life, while data subscribers will get 3-months unlimited data usage.

List of Supported Devices

Although Ntel lists a couple of devices expected to be compatible with the LTE bands such as the Tecno Boom J8, Tecno Camon C5, Infinix Zero 3, Infinix Note 2 (2GB RAM) and Samsung Galaxy S6 / Galaxy S6 Edge.

However, devices from brands like Samsung, HTC, Apple, LG and international brands with LTE connectivity should work seamlessly.

Fair Use Policy

No doubt, these services are affordable compared to other 4G LTE services around and appeals to the average Internet user, however, Ntel’s fair usage policy applies to curb excesses.

Services must be used only for personal, non-commercial use. Although data bundles are unlimited, customers who have amassed a total of 3GB daily will see their browsing speed drop to 512kbps.  ‎The full fair use policy from is available on the company’s website. ‎
