Unlike the first offering from the company – the ZUK Z1, the ZUK Z2 Pro impresses all round with top of the shelf specs, good design and moderate pricing. It is equipped with a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p FHD resolution rather than 1440p Quad HD and 2.5D curved edges.

On the inside, the Z2 Pro relies on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with quad Kyro cores clocked at 2.15GHz, Adreno 530 GPU and sports two RAM and storage options  – either a 4GB RAM & 64GB built-in storage space combo or 6GB RAM & 128GB built-in storage.

The camera department also impresses, there is a 8-megapixel camera with 1.4μm pixel size and an f/2.0 lens for selfies and video chats. The main snapper on the ZUK Z2 Pro is ‎a 13MP ISOCELL sensor from Samsung with a 1.34μm pixel size, dual-tone LED Flash, a f/1.8 lens, and Hybrid PDAF.

It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company’s skin on top, packs Dual Nano-SIM card tray, USB 3.1 Type-C port, a fingerprint scanner and a 3100mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick charging 3.0. Connectivity options includes – 4G LTE with VoLTE, Dual-Band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.

The ZUK Z2 Pro is available in the Chinese market for a price tag of CNY 2700 (US$ 415). Availability in markets outside the home country is not a feasible situation yet.‎
