LeEco Le 1s Eco smartphone with Supertainment Services announced

‎LeEco announced the Le 1s Eco smartphone yesterday at an event in Mumbai. It is priced at Rs 10,999 (US$ 165) and 100,000 unit will be available for purchase (Flash Sale) on May 12th via Flipkart for a discounted price of Rs 9,999 (US$ 150).‎ The LeEco Le 1s Eco is modelled after the original LeEco Le 1s and comes pre-loaded with support for ten‎ Indian languages: Kannada, Tamil, Marathi, Assamese, Bengali, Malayalam, Telugu, Oriya, Gujarati and Punjabi.

Marketed as a ‘Made in India’ smartphone, the LeEco Le 1s Eco sports a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD display, Mediatek Helio X10 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage space, 5MP front camera, 13MP Rear camera and a fingerprint sensor. It runs Android Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box, uses the USB Type-C port and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.

LeEco’s Supertainment membership services is a suite of entertainment services tailored for the Indian market. It offers services such as Le Vidi – a video-on-demand service in partnership with Eros Now and Le Live in partnership with YuppTV to deliver ‎live streaming of over 100 TV channels. ‎

Services also includes the LeEco Music‎ (powered by Hungama music) and LeEco Drive (up to 5TB free digital storage space for every LeEco user). Both will be available by Q3 2016. All the service will be available for the Le 1s and Le Max smartphone users in India via OTA (Over-the-Air) update. ‎

The LeEco Ecosystem Membership Plan costs Rs 490 (US$ 6.7) per month and Rs 4900 (US$ 67) per year but is bundled free on the Le 1s Eco for the first year.‎
