Cubot has commenced the sales of the Pro version of the Cubot S550 launched late last year. The new device, called the Cubot S550 Pro, brings various improvements and features over its predecessor but continues to run Android Lollipop OS. It is priced originally at US$ 149.99 but is available at a promo price – US$ 129.99 until July 21st from select retailers.
Available in either Black or White colours; the Cubot S550 Pro sports a 5.5-inch HD IPS OGS display with 2.5D Dual curved glass, measures 151.7 x 76.5 x 7.0 mm in dimensions, packs Hybrid Dual SIM slots (Micro + Nano/TF Card) and is backed by a 3000mAh battery which should last several hours of use.
A peek on the inside shows the S550 Pro relies a quad-core MT6735A processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with ARM Mali-T720 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage space which is expandable up to 128GB. The main camera is a rear facing 13MP AF snapper with f/2.0 aperture, 4P lens, 1A super bright flash and quickadjust dynamic range.
The front facing camera is a 8MP snapper with Intelligent Beauty for video calling and selfies. The Cubot S550 Pro has a rear placed fingerprint sensor, supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks as well as Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, Hotknot and GPS/A – GPS connectivity options.
