Reliance Retail has announced the LYF Wind 2 – successor to the LYF Wind 1. The phablet-sized device with mid-tier to entry-level specs, is available from Reliance Digital and other retail stores across India for a price tag of Rs. 8299 (US$ 124) and arrives in Gold colour option only.
Sporting a unibody design , the LYF Wind 2 sports a 6-inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen resolution and is backed by a 2850mAh battery. It measures 157.5 x 81 x 8.5 mm in dimensions, weighs 223 grams and continues the trend of running Android Lolipop OS like other LYF series devices.
Under the hood, it relies on the Mediatek MT6735M quad-core 64-bit processor clocked at 1.0GHz with ARM Mali-T720 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD. For photos and videos, there is a rear facing 8MP AutoFocus camera with LED flash and a front facing 2MP camera for selfies and video chats.
The LYF Wind 2 supports 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks and has the Hybrid Dual SIM Slots (Standard + Micro/MicroSD) as well as VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi.
