Obi Mobiles launched its first smartphone, the Obi Octopus S520 in July with moderate specs. The company, headed by former Apple CEO John Sculley has launched five new Dual-SIM smartphones slated for India – the Obi S400, S450, S500, Python S452 and Wolverine S501. All devices runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS except the Wolverine S501 and the devices ranges in price between Rs 4200 ($69) and Rs 7850 ($130).
Obi S400
The Dual SIM Obi S400 features a 4-inch WVGA display, powered by a 1.2GHz processor (unknown chipset), 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 2MP rear camera with CMOS sensor, front facing VGA camera and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The device also supports 3G connectivity and powered by a 1500mAh battery.

The Obi S400 would be available in White colour option only for RS 4200 ($69 / N11,500).

The Dual SIM Obi S450 features a 4.5-inch FWVGA OGS display and a 1800mAh battery; the battery can provide up to 230hours of standby time & 8hours of talk time. Asides that all specifications are similar to the S400 in terms of processor, storage, memory, camera, connectivity and even the OS. The device is placed with a Rs 4990 ($82.5 / N13,000) price tag.
Obi S500
The Obi S500 also supports Dual SIM and 3G connectivity. The device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and features a 5.0-inch FWVGA display, dual-core Mediatek 1.2GHz processor (MTK6572), 5MP rear camera with LED flash, front facing VGA camera, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and a 1800mAh battery.
Obi S500
The Obi S500 has a perforated plastic rear panel which replicates that seen of the Galaxy S5 and available for a price tag of Rs 5,990 ($99 / N16,000).
Obi Python S452
The Obi Python S452 features a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display, powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage, microSDcard slot (up to 32GB), 2MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera and a 1400mAh battery.

The Obi Python S452 has rear physical buttons which resemble that seen on the LG G3 flagship device and also a faux leather back similar to Samsung Galaxy devices. The device is available in White Colour option for Rs 5990 ($99 / N16,000).
Obi Wolverine S501
The Obi Wolverine S501 is the only device out of the five announced which runs on Android 4.4 kitkat OS. The device sports a 5-inch FWVGA IPS display, 1GB of RAM, 5MP autofocus rear camera with CMOS QSXGA (2560×2048 pixel) image sensor & OmniBSI technology, 0.3MP front facing camera, 4GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 3G connectivity and 1500mAh battery.
Obi Wolverine S501
The Obi Wolverine S501 also has rear physical buttons and a faux leater back. The device is available for Rs 7850 ($130 / N21,000).
