IFA 2014: Acer announces the Three Iconia Series Tablet and Aspire Windows Tablet

Acer has announced two new affordable Windows 8 and also two affordable Android kitkat OS tablets with the Acer Iconia Tab 8 W, Aspire 8 W, Iconia One 8 and Iconia Tab 10. All three costs less than $200 in retail pricing but most of the specs and features will be available when they are actually available in the markets.

The Acer Iconia Tab 10 features a 10.1-inch full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The device is powered by a quad-core processor from MediaTek, micro HDMI port, dual speakers, and virtual 5.1-channel sound over stereo headphones. The tablet costs as lows as $199.

The Acer Iconia One 8 features 8-inch (1,280 x 800 pixels) resolution display. The device is powered by an Intel Z3735G quad-core processor clocked at 1.33GHz and would be available in multiple colour (Jade Green, Sunshine Yellow, Vivid orange, Sky Blue, Essential White, Midnight black, Fragrant pink, Violet purple, Mia blue and Garnet Red) options. The slate would be available for $195 in Europe, Middle east and African markets later this month.

The Iconia Tab 8 W features an 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) resolution IPS display, powered by an Intel Atom Z3735G quad-core processor clocked at 1.33GHz, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, microSD, micro HDMI, and micro USB. The device also features an optional Acer Crunch keyboard.

The Iconia Tab 8 W runs on Windows 8.1 and comes preloaded with Microsoft productivity apps as well as pre-installed Bing search engine. The device battery is expected to last up to 8 hours of normal usage. The device is expected to go on Sale in October in Europe and across America in November.

Acer also lifted the lid on a 8-inch affordable tablet running on Microsoft’s Windows 8.1 OS. Moving to the specs, the Aspire 8 W features a 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z3735G Bay Trail-based quad-core processor, Micro HDMI, micro SD card slot and MS Office 365 pre-installed. The slate would be available in November for $150.
