Ahead of the imminent launch of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, Samsung has officially announced its latest premium application – the Exynos 9 Series 8895. The octa-core processor comes integrated with a gigabit LTE modem and a seperate processing unit for processing unit for security solutions.
Built on a cutting-edge 10nm FinFET process, the Exynos 8895 features 4x Samsung’s 2nd-gen custom designed main CPU cores and 4x Cortex A53 cores and the latest ARM Mali-G71 GPU. It promises 27-percent improvement in performance while consuming 40% less power for extended battery life.
The new processor supports up to WQUXGA (3840 x 2400), 4K Ultra HD (4096 x 2160) display resolution and video recording and playback at a maximum resolution of 4K UHD at 120fps. It uses the Samsung Coherent Interconnect (SCI) technology to deliver a heterogeneous system architecture that enables faster computing for a wide range of applications such as artificial intelligence, and deep learning.
Commenting on the launch of the new Exynos 9 Series 8895 processor, Ben Hur, Vice President of System LSI marketing at Samsung Electronics, said:

The Samsung Exynos 9 Series 8895 has entered mass productions and is believed to power some variants of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.
