The Oppo R1S was certified last week in chinaand it has been quietly listed on Oppo’s china store for CNY 2498 or $400 (around N65,000 in Nigerian Naira). The Oppo R1S features a 5-inch 720p HD display, 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4G LTE and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean based colour OS.
The Oppo R1S features a 13MP rear-facing camera with LED flash & CMOS sensor and a 5MP front facing camera. Like the Oppo R1, the R1S has no micro SD slot but has a 16GB in-built storage and 2140 mAh battery. According to Oppo, the smartphone would be released in blue and white colour option.

COMPARISONS BETWEEN THE OPPO R1 AND OPPO R1S
Considering that the Oppo R1 was launched December 2013, there are similar and dissimilar comparison between the two smartphone make.
In terms of similar comparison, the Oppo R1 and Oppo R1S both have a 5-Inch 720p HD display, 2140mAh battery, 3.5mm audio jack, 1GB RAM, 5MP front facing camera, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and 16GB in-built storage.
In terms of the differences, the Oppo R1 runs on Android 4.2 based colour OS, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 and a 8MP rear facing camera. While the Oppo R1S runs on Android 4.3 colour based OS, powered by 1.6GHz quad-core qualcomm Snapdragon 400, 4G LTE support and a 13MP rear facing camera.
The differences are in terms of the rear camera, 4G LTE support and the processor but they are announced for sale at the same amount CNY 2,498 (roughly $400).
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The Oppo R1S is currently available for CNY 2498 (around N65,000) in China, there is no word on its availability in other countries. It is currently available for pre-order on the Official Online Oppo Stores in white and blue colours starting from April 25th, 2014.
