Samsung is expected to announce newer models of the Galaxy J series devices – the Galaxy J3 2017, Galaxy J5 2015 & Galaxy J7 2017. Out of the trio – the Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 has paid visit to not one but two benchmark websites – Geekbench and GFXBench, revealing the some of the anticipated specs.

On GFXBench, the Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 (SM-J530) sports a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display and powered by the same processor as the Galaxy J7 Prime – an octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC paired with ARM Mali-T830 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space (11GB user available).

The device boots Android 7.0 Nougat OS and could be a selfie focused smartphone as it features a front facing 12MP Dual Pixel camera, the same found on the rear expect the fact that the rear one has AutoFocus and LED flash.‎ Both cameras (front and rear) record 1080p Full HD videos.

Spec detail found on GeekBench also confirms the version of Android OS the device run, the choice of processor and size of the RAM. The device achieves a single-core score of 702 and a multi-core score of 3437. At the moment, we still don’t know the size of the battery and when exactly the device will go official. ‎‎
