The Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime 2 is the successor to the Galaxy Amp Prime from 2016 and seems to be a variant of the Galaxy J3 Emerge for Sprint, Boost Mobile and Virgin mobile. Like the Galaxy S8, it comes pre-installed with Android 7.0 Nougat OS out-of-the-box but the specs are in the budget category.

The device has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, a 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.35GHz (likely the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425), 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB built-in storage space and a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB.

The rest of the specs includes – rear 5MP camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording, front 2MP camera for selfies and video chats, 4G LTE, Wi-FI, Wi-Fi HotSpot, and Bluetooth 4.2. The Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime 2 is also HD Voice capable and backed by a 2600mAh battery with power saving mode.
