Few years ago, Samsung introduced an Android based smartphone with a built-in projector called the Samsung Galaxy Beam. The idea of the smartphone is to enjoy favourite contents on a much larger screen. Samsung after over two years has announced a successor to the less than impressive Galaxy Beam called the Galaxy Beam 2.

The main talking point on the Samsung Galaxy Beam 2 is the Integrated DLP Projector. Other features of the Galaxy Beam 2 are the 1.2 Quad-core processor, 4.66-inch 480 X 800 pixel display, a 5MP rear facing camera & a 0.3MP front facing camera, a micro SD slot (expandable upto 64GB), 2600mAh battery and it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.
Other than support for GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11n WiFi, the RAM of the device as well as other basic phone specs were not revealed. Like its display, the Galaxy Beam 2’s projector has a display resolution of 480 X 800 pixels.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
The Samsung Galaxy Beam 2 has only been announced in China and there is no potential information of its availability and pricing in other parts of the world.
