ASUS has showcased a new ZenPad tablet – the ASUS ZenPad 3S 8.0 at the Computex 2017 in Taipei. The tablet, which bears the code number – Z582KL, is the smaller variant of the ASUS ZenPad 3S 10 (Z500M) released at the Mobile World Congress 2017 and arrives with some of the specs slightly better.
Pre-installed with Android 7.1 Nougat OS, the ASUS ZenPad 3S 8.0 (Z582KL) is now powered by the more powerful octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor compared to the Hexa-core Snapdragon 650 on the ZenPad 3S 10. It sports a 7.9-inch (1536 x 2048 pixels) display and anti fingerprint coating.
This model is available in either 3GB or 4GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB built-in storage options. Photography is handled by a rear placed 13MP camera with 5-element lens, LED flash & f/2.0 aperture and a front facing 5MP PixelMaster camera for selfies and video calls.
Clad in a 6.9 mm thin aluminium alloy body, the ASUS ZenPad 3S 8.0 has a MicroSIM card slot and supports the following: 4G LTE (Cat. 16), Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac and USB Type-C 2.0. The slate has the company’s ZenUI 3.5 skin sprinkled on the OS and depends on a 4,680mAh Li-ion battery.
