Nubia, a popular brand associated with ZTE, has announced its latest Nubia Z smartphone series yet – the Nubia Z17. The high-end device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform (10nm) and is the first device to take advantage of the Quick Charge 4+.
The Nubia Z17 has two rear cameras – a primary 12MP sensor with 6-element lens and f/1.8 aperture and a secondary 23MP camera and 5-element with f/2.0 aperture. Both use Dual Pixel focus, anti-shake technology and the advanced NeoVision 7.0 photography suite with an AI technology.
Pre-installed with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS (with nubia UI 5.0 skin), the device has a bezel-less display with a 5.5-inch In-cell IPS panel and 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) screen resolution. It packs an octa-core SD835 processor paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. There are two cheaper options with 6GB RAM and either 64GB or 128GB UFS 2.1 storage.

The Z17 is water resistant (no IP rating listed) and depends on a 3,200mAh battery with fast charging (Quick Charge 4.0).

Available in Black, Black with Gold, Blue, Gold and Red colours, the Nubia Z17 is priced at CNY 2,799 (US$ 411) for the 6GB/64GB model; CNY 3,399 (US$ 499) for the 6GB/128GB model and CNY 3,999 (US$ 583) for the 8GB/128GB model. Sales commences on June 6th in China.
