At this year’s XBox E3 press briefing in Los Angeles, Microsoft introduced the XBox One X (formerly known as the Project Scorpio) to the world. The new console, dubbed ’the world most powerful console’ is fully compatible across the XBox One family of devices and designed for immersive true 4K gaming.
According to Microsoft, the 6-teraflop Scorpio engine on the XBox One X makes it 40-percent more powerful than any other console (even the PlayStation 4 Pro). It is also the smallest ever created by the company. Like the XBox One S, it includes a 4K UHD Blu-ray player, built-in power supply, 3x USB 3.0 ports and IR blaster.
The console hits 4K at 60 frames per second and works with all accessories and games for the XBox One as well as backward compatible XBox 360 games and accessories. At launch, it will come with enhanced version of existing games such as Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, Resident Evil 7 and Final Fantasy 15.
The Forza Motorsport 7, one of the upcoming blockbuster for this year, will also launch in true 4K in time for the One X. With an optional stand, the console can be used horizontally or vertically.
