Japanese device maker, Sharp has a new mid-tier smartphone in the works. The device, simply known as the Sharp FS8016, has been put through its paces on Benchmark listings – AnTuTu and Geekbench. It is stated to comes pre-loaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS and packs 4GB of RAM.
The Sharp FS8016 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 (SDM660) octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with Adreno 512 GPU – the same processor currently used by the Oppo R11 (& R11 Plus), and maybe the upcoming Galaxy C10. It is equipped with a 2K screen res (1080 x 2040 pixels) with no exact display size stated and 64GB built-in storage space.
Photography will be handled by a rear 12MP camera (possibly 13MP) and a front facing 8MP camera for selfies. The device is expected to slot in behind the Sharp Aquos R which launched with the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. On AnTuTu, it has an estimated score of 110,000, similar to that of the Oppo R11.
At the moment, there is no official word on when the Sharp FS8016 would drop or what it would end up as. We will keep bringing more news and development when we have them.
