Infinix Mobility has quietly launched a new budget smartphone – the Infinix Smart in Kenya and Nigeria. This entry-level device comes pre-loaded with XOS 2.2 (based on Android Nougat) – the same found on the Infinix Note 4/4 Pro and depends on a sizeable 3,060mAh battery (5V/1.2A charger) which should provide up to 2 days of battery life for the average user.
The Infinix Smart has a 5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) screen resolution, 1.2GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6580 processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage space and microSD card slot (up to 32GB cards). It packs Dual Micro SIM slots and supports only 2G and 3G networks only.
The device has a rear 8MP AF camera with Dual LED flash and a front 2MP camera with 3P lens for selfies and video calls. For an all-round quality audio and video experience, the Smart comes equipped with front dual speakers and Dirac Stereo Widening technology for a realistic 3D stereo surrounding sound. It measures 144.9 x 71.9 x 8.35 mm in dimensions and weighs 145 grams.
In terms of pricing, the Infinix Smart X5010 is available starting at Rs. 7,999 in Kenya and between N30,000 – N35,000 in Nigeria. Red, Gold, Green, Blue, and Black are the available colour options.
