Joining the ranks of Huawei and Oppo, Tecno Mobile has taken advantage of its affiliation with a top football club to release a limited edition model of its most recent Camon series device – the Tecno Camon CX, in partnership with Manchester City FC and will be on sale nationwide via SLOT systems outlets.
The device, dubbed the Tecno Camon CX Manchester City Limited Edition (also styled as Tecno Camon CX MCFC Limited Edition), features the club’s logo etched on the lower back and takes on their official colour which is City Blue (Sky Blue). The phone’s interface and package box as well as some of its content such as selfie stick, also come with MCFC’s branding.
The highlight of the Camon CX and CX Air remain the front and rear 16MP cameras, however, the RAM and storage space has doubled up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage respectively. The rest of the specs including the 5.5-inch FHD display, octa-core processor, 3,200mAh battery, Android Nougat OS with HiOS, 4G LTE network speed and fingerprint sensor remain the same.
According to sources, only 200 units of the Tecno Camon CX Manchester City Limited Edition will be available and it will retail for N95,000 in Nigeria. In Kenya, it is on sale exclusively via Jumia Kenya for KSh 30,999.
