Vertu has announced its second flagship device for the year, the Vertu Aster premium smartphone with top-notch specs and material build. The Vertu Aster comes after the Signature which was launched in June.

The device is hand crafted from hardened titanium; the device rocks a 4.7-inch 1080p HD display, 5.1-inch 117 carat Sapphire crystal Screen and titanium casing. The Vertu Aster is powered by a 2.3GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC, 64GB of inbuilt storage, two front facing Dolby Digital plus stereo speakers and the RAM size is unknown.
The luxury smartphone would come with Vertu’s services such as the Classic Concierge, Vertu LIFE and Vertu CERTAINITY packages. There is a 13MP Hasselblad-certified rear camera with Dual LED flash and afront facing 2.1MP camera for video calls obviously. Both the front and the rear cameras are covered by Sapphire.
The phone measures 143.4 x 69 x 11.2mm, weighs 193g, runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat OS with the company’s proprietary UI ontop. The Vertu Aster is powered by a 2275mAh battery and features Qi Wireless charging. Connectivity options on the device includes Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G LTE (Cat. 4).
The Vertu Aster comes with a slightly lower price compared to the Signature’s £6750, at a starting price tag of £4200 ($6800) which go as up as £5,900 ($9700) depending on Leather back choices. The leather colour available on the Vertu Aster includes Calf Leather (Onyx Calf, Blush Calf and Lagoon Calf); Karung Snake Skin (Caviar Karung and Tangerine Karung); Ostrich Skin (Cognac Ostrich and Raspberry Ostrich) options.
The Vertu Aster is available in the UK starting today October 2nd and a global rollout of the device is expected soon.
