Yet To Be Announced HTC One (M8) Eye Spotted on TENAA

Previous details which surfaced suggesting that HTC is set to launch another variant of the flagship HTC One (M8) called the One (M8) Eye. These reports have finally been found true as the HTC One (M8) Eye with the model number HTC M8Ew was spotted on Chinese equivalent of the FCC, TENAA.

Two models of the HTC One (M8) Eye is expected as two models have been spotted so far on TENAA; the One (M8) Eye with the model number M8ET will support Chinese networks (GSM, TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE) and the M8EW will support Indian networks (GSM, TD-LTE, WCDMA).

For those who haven’t heard about he HTC One (M8) Eye, the company is set to ditch the 4UP available on the flagship and replace it with a 13MP Duo rear camera. The One (M8) Eye has basically the same specs as the original variant.

The device weighs 157 grams, measures 146 × 70.6 × 9.4 mm and would run on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat OS out-of-the-box. Previously rumoured to feature a 5.2-inc 1080p display, HTC has left the display exactly at 5.0-inch 1080p display. Other features includes 2.3GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of Internal storage (up to 64GB/128GB depending on the model via a microSD card slot).

The highlight is the 13MP Duo rear camera with LED flash plus other exciting features and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The One (M8) Eye is expected to debut alongside HTC’s action camera on October 8, in an event which is dedicated to camera.
