Cubot has joined the 18:9 display trend with the launch of the Cubot X18. The new mid-range offering joins the likes of the LG G6, LG Q6, Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8 and Micromax Canvas Infinity with an aspect ratio of 18:9 (sometimes called FullVision). It has a high 83% screen to body ratio and uses GFF lamination technology.
The Cubot X18 has a 5.7-inch IPS display with (1440 x 720 pixels) HD+ screen resolution, 1300:1 contrast ratio, 90% NTSC colour, 2.5D Curved glass. It is powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6737T processor paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD).
For photography, there is a rear facing 16MP AF Sony camera with 0.1s focus speed, 5P lens, Blue Glass ICR, and f/2.2 aperture. The front selfie camera is a 13MP FF snapper with Samsung sensor, 5P lens and 50mA soft flashlight. A fingerprint sensor (0.1s unlock speed) with 360-degree recognition and 5 fingerprint recognition adorns the back.
The Cubot X18 boots close to stock Android Nougat OS (with split-screen mode) and power is supplied by a removable 3,200mAh lithium-ion battery. It supports 4G FDD LTE networks (Band: 1 / 3 / 7 / 8 / 20) and has a Blue notification light. Dark Blue and Gold are the available colour options.
