Following days of teasing a new fitness product, Xiaomi India has partnered with HRX by Hrithik Roshan, the active lifestyle apparel and casual wear brand founded by popular Bollywood star, Hrithik Roshan, to launch the Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition in India. The new band is very close to the regular Mi Band 2 in terms of specifications but lacks the heart rate sensor.
The Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition is IP67-rated (dust and water resistant) and promises better tracking algorithm to accurately monitor activities as well as improved battery life. It is stated to last up to 23 days of battery life (70mAh Lithium-polymer) as opposed to 20 days the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 delivers.
As expected, the band display notifications, measures calories burnt, monitor fitness, tracks sleep and count steps. It has a 0.42-inch power efficient OLED display with scratch resistance glass and anti-fingerprint coating, weighs about 7 grams (without the rubber strap) and connects via Bluetooth 4.0 LE.
The Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition is priced at Rs. 1,299 (US$ 20) and comes in Black and Blue colour strap options with Green and Orange band options. It will be available from September 18th on Mi.com and Mi Home stores. It will also be available from Flipkart, Amazon, and Myntra from September 20th.
