Gionee’s next smartphone from the popular ‘S’ smartphone series is currently in the works. The Chinese company, which just released the Gionee M7 and Steel 2 Plus (M7 Power), is expected to launch the Gionee S11 with a 18:9 Full View display in the not-too distant future.
According to GFBench benchmark, the Gionee S11 specs start off with a 6-inch 18:9 display with (2160 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ screen resolution which is about similar to the 6.01-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 18:9 aspect ratio found on the Gionee M7.
The device relies on the Mediatek MT6763 octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz with ARM Mali-G71 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It has 64GB built-in storage space (up to 52GB available to the user) and comes pre-loaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS with the company’s Amigo UI expected to be layered on top.
The listing also notes the device will have a rear 16MP AF camera with Flash and a front 5MP camera. However, multiple sources confirm the S11 will in fact feature dual front and rear cameras like the Gionee S10, and would depend on a 3,500mAh battery with support for fast charging. We should have more information when the device hits China’s certification agency, TENAA.
