LG K7i with Mosquito Repellent Tech Launched in India

LG announced the launch of its new low-tier phone, the LG K7i at the ‎India Mobile Congress 2017 in New Delhi. The device is equipped with the ‘Mosquito Away Technology’ built into the ‘Mosquito Away cover’ which uses inaudible ‘Ultrasonic noise’ to repel mosquitoes. It also comes with a normal phone cover and the ‘Mosquito Away Stand’.

Pre-installed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, the LG K7i has a 5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA On-Cell Touch IPS display, Dual SIM slots and 2,5000mAh battery (removable). Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage space (expandable up to 32GB via microSD.

Photography is handled by a rear facing 8MP AF camera with LED flash alongside a front facing 5MP camera for selfies and video chats. The fingerprint sensor sits just below the main camera on the back. Connectivity options available include: 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, micro USB and GPS.

Crowned the ‘world’s first smartphone to feature the Mosquito Away Technology’, the LG K7i is priced at Rs. 7990 (US$ 122) and arrives in only Brown colour option only.‎‎ It will be on sale across a handful of retail outlets in the country.
