Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 certified with 5.99-inch FHD+ FullView display, 4000mAh battery

Xiaomi’s upcoming 18:9 FullView smartphone, the Redmi Note 5 has been certified in China by Chinese certification agency, TENAA. The phablet device, listed under the codename – MET7 / MEE7, feature a metal unibody design, rear fingerprint sensor and a single rear camera.

Pre-installed with MIUI 9 (based on ‎Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS), the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 sports a 5.99-inch display with 2.5D Glass and 2160 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ resolution. It is equipped with ‎an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz (presumably the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630) and depends on a large 4,000mAh battery.

‎Like its predecessor- the Redmi Note 4, it should arrive in two memory and storage options: ‎3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB space. Both storage options are expandable up to 128GB via microSD. For photography, it features a rear facing 12MP camera with dual-tone LED Flash alongside a front facing 5MP camera for selfies.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is expected to go official sometime in November in 9 different colours: Black, Blue, Gold, Gray, Pink, Red, Rose Gold, Silver and White colours. We will have more information when the device is finally launched.
