Oppo has unveiled the newest member of the selfie-centric F series line-up- the Oppo F5 – at an event in the Philippines, as expected. Sporting a metal unibody design, the phablet sports a 6-inch (2160 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ ‘FullScreen’ 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
For photography, the Oppo F5 features a front 20MP selfie camera with 1/2.8″ sensor and f/2.0 aperture, Artificial Intelligence (A.I) beauty recognition technology and speedy facial unlock. The main camera is a 16MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture and LED Flash.
The smartphone boots Android 7.1 Nougat OS with ColorOS 3.2 and relies on the octa-core Mediatek MT6763T processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB built-in expandable storage (Red colour variant). The basic model (Black and Gold colours) come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB storage space.
The Oppo F5 has a total of three slots (2x Nano SIM slots and microSD card slot), fingerprint sensor, 3.5mm audio jack and depends on a 3,200mAh built-in battery. It will retail for a price tag of PHP 15,990 (US$ 307) for the 4GB RAM variant and will go on sale starting November 4th in the Phillipines. It will launch in India on November 2nd.
